UNION NEGOTIATIONS LOWER GRIEVANCES BY 50%

Tasked with renegotiating all collective bargaining agreements after the takeover of a heavily unionized organization represented by four different labor unions. Had very little union experience at the time and the company leadership as a whole did not have a great deal experience, especially dealing in a tough unionized environment like Pittsburgh.

Built rapport very quickly with the employee population and with union officials. Assembled a solid plan based on recommendations of staff and management while at the same time fully understanding key elements of what the union wanted and needed. Assembled a strategy to secure what company wanted while limiting providing the items the union wanted.

Rapidly reached agreement on all issues, some of which provided better conditions for the employees while at the same time saving several thousand dollars and ultimately reducing grievances by 50% in the initial year alone.
