COVETED STERLING AWARD ACHIEVED
Challenged by company leadership to become the first hospitality property in the State of Florida to become recognized as a recipient of the "Governor's Sterling Award for Quality Excellence". This challenge required a complete cultural shift. A specific and comprehensive communications program and a multitude of staff training and development initiatives needed to be implemented.
Put together a full program as category lead that helped employees understand what was going on, why it was important and why they all needed to be involved. Initiated across the board training and awareness programs and indoctrinated the staff into an understanding of quality principles. Efforts led to the property becoming the training facility for executive managers throughout the company and achieved great community respect as a role model, benchmark and best in class organization.
The organization became the first hospitality property in the State of Florida to win the Sterling Award.
